Patchwork Mystery Crochet Along: Reveal & Joining Method

Congrats! We have reached the end of the Patchwork Mystery Crochet Along. All twelve of the squares have been released. Now it is time to join and finish your squares. There is no right or wrong way to join your squares. Choose whichever method and pattern you prefer.

In order to enter the CAL contest, you must complete at least one of each square, assemble the blanket and post a picture to the Facebook Group by 7/14/19. You can use as many squares as you like and arrange them in any pattern.

Now it is time for my to reveal my completed blanket:

The method I used to join my squares and add a border is called my Window Pane Joining Method. Learn about it Here.

When I hear the word “patchwork” I immediately think of a quilt. I love how some quilts feature fancy squares framed with solid borders and I wanted to replicate it in my version.

For this blanket I used 5 single crochet stitches between the squares and used 10 single crochets for the border. This pattern is a yarn eater and I used nearly a full skein of Lion Brand Pound of Love for this blanket. Yes, that is a lot of yarn.

I hoped you enjoyed the CAL!

Happy Hooking!!!
