I have a problem. I love yarn and yarn stores. Whenever I travel I like to look up local yarn stores ( and chain stores I don’t live near). My favorite way to find these is by using http://www.knitmap.com/ . I have been using the site for years and I wish I invented it. Googling “yarn stores near…” works too.
Recently the boyfriend and I traveled to Lima, OH to visit a friend and while there we visited the local yarn shop Heavenly Stitches.
Heavenly Stiches is a yarn and quilt fabric store located in an old church just south of town. It is easily accessible from I-75.
Before the trip I viewed the shop’s website and saw they had 3 things I love; yarn, old churches and shop dogs.
The main showroom is in the sanctuary of the church and the light shines through the glass window illuminating the yarn and fabric. The back room of the building houses the offices, storage and room for classes. They offer a variety of knitting, crocheting, and quilting classes.
Heavenly Stitches carries a wide range of yarns including lines from Cascade, Araucania, Dream in Color, Queensland Collection, Berroco and others. At the time I was there, they had a large selection of sale priced yarn. If you are like me, you love a good yarn bargain too!
They also have a large array of quilt fabric, batting, notions, and other sewing supplies. I am not a quilter, I am sure any quilter would find something new at the shop. 
If you are ever in or around Lima, OH I recommend stopping by Heavenly Stitches and then going to Kewpee Hamburgers for lunch. Your yarn stash and stomach will thank me.
